Mary Barry is a certified and licensed speech and language pathologist withmore than 30 years experience. Mary is a member of the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association, Illinois Speech, Language and Hearing Association and State of Illinois Early Intervention System. Professional experience has included provision of diagnostic and intervention services to children and their families in a variety of settings including elementary school, university medical center, community hospital, outpatient clinic, home health and office. Mary has conducted videofluoroscopic swallow studies, is trained in the Sequential Oral Sensory feeding approach and in the Fraker and Walbert food chaining approach to help children who have difficulty with eating.

Mary has earned consecutive awards for continuing education since 1992 to bring the highest quality services to children and their families.

Mary is a parent of a special needs child and has experience being a consumer as well as a provider of special needs services. Collaboration with parents to address needs and concerns and create a plan of care based upon the families priorities and lifestyle is an important part of the program.
